Frequently Asked Questions
No. The PMI-CPMAI has no prior experience or certification requirements. However, familiarity with project management fundamentals and basic AI concepts is an advantage.
The program consists of two components: PMI’s official 21-hour self-paced online course, which you complete at your own pace, and Skillet’s 1-day instructor-led exam prep session designed to reinforce key concepts and prepare you for the exam.
You have 90 days to complete the self-paced course. Once completed, you have 1 year from the date of purchase to pass the exam.
Your first exam attempt is included in the bundle. If you do not pass, PMI allows up to 2 additional attempts within your 1-year eligibility period at an additional cost.
The exam is available at Pearson VUE test centers (recommended) or online via Pearson VUE’s OnVUE proctored platform.
Completing the course makes you eligible to sit for the exam. You will receive the PMI-CPMAI certification upon passing the exam.
You are required to earn 30 PDUs every 3 years to maintain your PMI-CPMAI certification.
