Attend the Training at Skillet & Take your Exam

  • Attend and complete your training at Skillet
  • Schedule, take and pass your exam, retake exam if necessary
  • Submit your exam result or proof of certificate to peneraju.org within the 6-month Financing Scheme validity period stated in your EFSA
  • Failure to do so will result in breach of terms and you may be required to repay the full amount.

Scholarship Confirmation

  • You will receive Letter of Demand (LOD) from Yayasan Peneraju
  • This package gives you a 100% scholarship, you don’t need to pay anything if you pass the exam.
  • If you fail the exam, you can retake and pass it within the 6-month validity period to avoid repayment.
  • If you don’t pass within the validity period or quit the program, you must repay the full amount.
  • Repayment starts 3 months after the LOD is issued if you haven’t passed.

Application of Financing Scheme

Who can apply?

If you are a new applicant,

  • Bumiputera
  • Malaysian citizen
  • 16 years and above
  • Has a valid offer letter, registration, or attendance proof from an approved training provider (ALTI).
  • Not currently receiving other Yayasan Peneraju funding.
  • Has a personal bank account.

If you’re a Yayasan Peneraju alumni, you must meet all the “New Applicants” criteria, plus these extra requirements:

  • If you’re repaying Yayasan Peneraju, you must have paid more than 50% of your total balance by the time you apply.
  • The total funding you get from Yayasan Peneraju (past and current) must not be more than RM150,000. Check peneraju.org to see how much you’ve received.
Do I need a bank account?

Yes, you must have an active savings account under your own name (as per your IC) with a Bank Negara-registered bank. Joint accounts are not allowed.

When can I apply?

You must apply within 3 months after receiving your offer letter from Skillet (ALTI), and before your training starts. Check peneraju.org for updates. Applications may be rejected if your course starts more than 3 months later.

Can Yayasan Peneraju alumni apply?

Yes. Alumni who have completed a previous Peneraju-funded program can apply again.

Do I need to register with the training provider first?

Yes. You must first apply for training at Skillet and get a valid offer letter or proof of registration. You’ll need this to apply for Peneraju financing.

How do I apply for the financing?

Go to peneraju.org, register with your name, IC, and email, choose your training, then follow the steps and upload all required documents.

Can I apply for a course not listed on peneraju.org?

No. You can only apply for courses listed on peneraju.org.

Why do I need to upload my payslip or income proof?

To verify the income information you gave in your application.

Will I be informed about my application status?

Yes. You’ll get an email within 21 working days. Check your inbox and spam folder. It might take longer during busy periods, so apply early.

What if I don’t hear back after 21 working days?

Check your status at peneraju.org. If there’s no update, email askme@peneraju.org for help. During peak periods, replies may be delayed.

What are common reasons for rejection?
  • Missing or unclear documents (e.g. IC, offer letter)
  • Not meeting entry requirements
  • Asking for more funds than needed (e.g. applying RM150k for RM10k course)
  • False documents (e.g. fake income proof)

What types of training and certification can I apply for?

You can apply for any training or certification listed on peneraju.org, as long as you meet the entry requirements from the professional bodies and training providers (ALTIs). You must pass any required assessments and provide proof of registration. You can only pursue one training or certification at a time.

What are ALTIs (Approved Learning and Training Institutions)?

ALTIs are Yayasan Peneraju’s approved training providers. They are selected to offer recognized courses and certifications. Check the full list of ALTIs and their courses on the Courses page.

What is Yayasan Peneraju's Financing Scheme?

No. The scheme is 100% interest-free and has no admin fee.

What is the Yayasan Peneraju Financing Scheme Agreement?

It’s a legal agreement between you and Yayasan Peneraju. It outlines your rights and responsibilities, payment terms, and includes a guarantor if needed.

What is a Letter of Demand (LOD)?

This is an official letter from Yayasan Peneraju asking you to repay the funds you received. You may get it within 1 month after: finishing your training, leaving the scheme, or early termination. It’s a formal reminder of your financial obligations.

Disbursement of Financing Scheme

When should I submit my disbursement (claim) request?

Claim & Pay: Submit your request on peneraju.org within 30 working days from the date on the invoice from your ALTI. Upload your payment receipt within 10 working days after payment.

Pay & Claim (Reimbursement): Submit your request within 30 working days from the receipt date.

Allowance Claims: Submit your claim every 3 months (quarterly).

When will I receive the payment after I submit a claim?

If your claim is complete and accurate:

  • Payment will be made within 10 working days.
  • You’ll be notified by email once it’s approved.
  • Money will be transferred directly to your registered bank account.
  • Claims submitted after 5:30 PM will be processed the next working day.
Will I be informed if my claim is rejected?

Yes. You will receive an email with the reason for rejection. You’ll need to fix the issue and resubmit your claim.

Common reasons for rejection:

  • Missing or incomplete documents
  • Claim submitted too late
  • Items not covered under the scheme
  • Incorrect info or overclaimed amount

Completion of Training & Certification

Do I need to pay back the scholarship?

You don’t need to pay back if you sit and pass the examination.

When do I start repayment?

You’ll receive a Letter of Demand (LOD) with your repayment schedule. Your first payment is due 3 months after the date of the LOD.

Can my financing be changed into a scholarship?

Yes, but only for Platinum package participants who pass all exams on the first attempt (straight pass).

What if I’m unemployed or have no income after completing the course?

You may request a deferment (delay) in repayment. To do this, you must appeal to Yayasan Peneraju’s Recovery team — their contact details will be included in your LOD.

Acceptance

What should I do after getting an offer from Yayasan Peneraju?

You have 7 working days to respond to the offer.

Can I reject the offer after receiving it?

Yes. The offer is only valid if you sign and return the offer letter. If you don’t sign it, the offer is not valid.

Can I change the course or financing package after receiving the offer?

No. The offer is based on what you applied for and the registration from the training provider (ALTI). If you want something different, you must reject the offer and apply again — but approval is not guaranteed.

Do I need to sign an agreement with Yayasan Peneraju?

Yes. You must sign an agreement to officially accept the approved Financing Scheme and start your training.

Do I need a guarantor?

Only if you’re under the Platinum package. The guarantor must be:

  • A Malaysian citizen living in Malaysia
  • Aged between 18–60
  • Have good financial standing (no bankruptcies)
  • A family member or close contact

If your guarantor becomes unfit (e.g., passes away, bankrupt), you must notify Yayasan Peneraju and provide a new one.

Do I need to stamp the agreement at LHDN?

No. Just sign and return the agreement — no stamping required.

Can I exit from the Financing Scheme agreement?

Yes. You can exit through peneraju.org. After that, you will receive a Letter of Demand (LOD) to repay 100% of the amount disbursed.

You can still continue your course on your own.

Will I receive the full approved amount no matter what?

No. You’ll only receive the amount based on actual invoices and eligible allowances. Unused funds won’t be disbursed and don’t need to be repaid.

What happens if Yayasan Peneraju terminates my agreement?

If you break the terms of the agreement, Yayasan Peneraju can cancel your scheme. They will issue a Letter of Demand and require you to repay 100% of the disbursed amount.
